best Civic for Auto-X or Time Attack?

I'm looking at buying a Civic or CRX for Auto-X or Time Attack. Cars I'm considering are a '90 Civic, a '95 Civic CX or a '91 CRX Si. Any thoughts which would be the best for Auto-X or TA? '90 Civic is cheapest, '91 CRX Si is most expensive. All are completely stock.

90 Civic

Cheaper = more money for mods, suspension, tires, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I love the 91 CRX Si for a dual-purpose car. That would be my number one pick. But if I were getting a track only car, I'd only want a shell. Cheaper the better. Everything would be stripped off and/or re-done. Civics have a better aftermarket too. Not just new but for swapping used parts too.

90 civic would be my vote as well, but if I were looking for myself, I would be looking for an ITR shell if budget allowed or more reasonably a CRX HF or DX

CRX for Auto-X and a 92-95 hatch for time attack.

Auto-x and Time Attack are two totally different animals.
