vs. cop so I was going home from getting a hair cut and some lunch. I was driving my brother's Del Sol. On the local roads I see a Bonneville catching up to me but didnt really care b/c I was about to get on the highway. By the time I do get on the on ramp, the boat was right behind me. So I drop a gear (to 3rd) and pick up the pace a little.
When I get on, I safely move over 2 lanes b/c the highway splits into east and west sections 1/4 mile from the highway entrance. I had only been driving about 70 and the split was coming up. Next thing I knew, boat was there again. I was thinking "ahhhh crap" b/c the next section involves a 2 lane merge into 1 sharp hanging downhill turn. To give a better idea, when I had my Civic, 50MPH was pretty much max on the Firestones, and was able to get slightly above 60 on the Falkens.
I was afraid boat car was going to sped up and try to cut me off at the corner entrance. So I drop a gear again (to 4th at around 70) pick up the pace so there isnt a chance of passing. Downshifted into 3rd and slowed down to about 50-55 b/c I still had my lunch on the passengers seat. To my surprise boat car was right there behind me! HOLY CRAP!
When the corner was just about over, I down shifted to 2nd and left. Hit almost 80MPH and slowed down to about 70. Boat car was coming again, I stayed at my pace and let boat go around me. When it did, the driver looked over as did I....... HOLY CRAP! It was an off duty cop, still had uniform on though.... so I slowed down some more (50 zone) and was just thankful I didnt get pulled over and arrested for "racing a cop" and speeding.

Rep Power: 0 thats pretty cool of the cop. my brother-in-law is a deputy sheriff and when they are on their way home...they really dont care that much about people speeding...unless they are over achievers!
ahahah damn close call...... i dont think they can pull you over if they are just drivin some random car..... but who knows in NJ.... i saw a guy who got pulled over in a oddessey haah
