keep in mind, however, this is not a 400hp WRX we are talking about.
a stock WRX is good for low 14's at best and that's WITH an excellent launch and driver. (14 flat is about as good as it's gonna get in stock form) and again that's only if they do a great AWD launch.

Just out of curiousty.. whats a standard turbo civic running? I cant see it being any faster than a mid 13 second pass.. if that. Im guessing at 230hp at the wheels.. youd only cut a high 13sec from a street tire equiped civic. And with the stock engine... no h22's k blah blah blahs... no frankensteins. simply a 01-03 civic witha bolt on turbo kit.

I guess by default, I'll use turboengnr's time ...
on bone stock internals, 9 psi, slicks and slipping clutch, he ran a 13.6 ... and he has the timeslips
my friend had the same kit, 6 psi, stock internals, heavyass subs, act clutch ... ran a 14.7 ... his 60' time was 2.6 though haha.

no, they do low/mid 14s stock and adding 30 hp makes them in to the 13's not nessarily a full sec lower. and sec i think he may off had a bad launch but he challenged me so it was his driver error
yeah thats right, if he knew that he didnt know how to drive then he shouldnt have raced... if this wrx has the AWD launch abilities and his car is "so much more likely to win" then it still didnt, maybe it wasnt the fairest beginning. but if either of the drivers thought they wouldve lost, they probably wouldve stopped... am i wrong? driver error is part of racing. if i have the fastest car in town and i lose to a POS thats my own fault for sucking at life. personally i think the Subaru drivers are waaaay to confident. add it to the kill list. congrats!!

You must not know a lot about turbo charged cars. Those 3 cats kill a turbo car.. The less restriction on a turbo car the better. Thus the reason i run a 4.5" exhaust.. Tell me how an NA car would run with that big of an exhaust my friend? Wait I'll tell you.. like **** because there is no back pressure. The turbo on a turbocharged car is the back pressure. After it exits the exhaust housing of the turbo you do not want any of that back pressure.

I agree with mustang ho ... the saying that there is no replacement for displacement is no joke.
and for drag, awd may get some awesome launches, but when you get to some insane power, rwd > awd

wow. this is a nightmare... the 3 worst driving type in the world are 1. mustang drivers, 2. honda drivers, and 3. subaru drivers. not for any reason here. but this is a prime example. everyone thinks their car is faster. the mustang u buy for 3k would be used and old. the subaru... new, expensive... WITH ANY CAR YOU CAN MOD IT TO BE FASTER THEN THE OTHER, its stupid to argue who can make their car faster. whoever will dump the most money will have the faster car. whats there to argue about?

There is alot of really good comments here. How ever all of my friends are mustang owners and well I hate them. Every jack *** who drives them think they have a race car. I had an old 73 f100 with a lightly modded windsor and would kill 5.0's. Besides that I know a guy who has a wrx(sold a mustang to get it) already done up with a diff tranny and such. I am not sure of his 1/4 times but I know he ran 1.60 60ft. The old saying there is no replacement for displacement is out the window with forced induction. A turbo adds the replacement. I am just tired of american car owners who really have no respect for engines other than v8's and imports that make good power and stay reliable. Not to bash any body here but imo any body can take a base v8 and make power its the little engines that I am amazed and interested in playing with but it is more expesive....unless you do a k swap in a 88-91 crx.....this is my next project.

and yes, i am ignorant... please, but when you deal with so many mustang drivers on a daily basis, its hard not to be ignorant. i do criticize people, not for what they drive, but how they drive it. EVERYONE i know that has a mustang talks the most crap about how fast it is. thats MY stereotype for the 'mustang driver' i didnt ask your opinion on my stereotyping. but you are the typical mustang driver in my eyes, and i am sure someone would agree with me?

please don't turn this thread into a domestic vs import thread. Mustang 5.0 basically stated that you get more hp for the buck with domestics which is true and still true today. Some people like huge V8's other's like turbo I4's both get shitty gas mileage.

That is what I was trying to say. Peeps here drive there 5.0's like they got a race car. Mustang 5.0 I am far from ignorant infact I am really open minded. I had a feeling you would think that staement was drirected at you and well it was not. I personally am tired of the typical domestic thought of small motors are dumb and big giant ones are da best. Besdies I have 160k miles on my 351w and its been rebuilt 3 times and it still runs, infact it was in the truck my dad teached my how to drive in. But I am going to get rid of it to build the rest of my inmports. For me its about what has been done for the past 50 years, they have not changed far from what they where orig. Unlike L4's that have changed the way the valve train works in such a way that american manu's have yet to reproduce it on a v8(and they have tried). There is not one thing I can do that has not been done before. Now that may be true for imports too but for me in my town i want to do some thing like build a fwd dragger just to spank v8 cars and maybe even do it with a fart cannon and a giant wing just for kicks.
But we are far off from the path of the poster of this thread who has a sick honda. And if I had ***** i would try to do what he did. Btw I need a link to the accel vid you made I lost it when my pc crashed. I have been showing a fellow v8/ import buddy of mine who was like dam he went far past the red line lol.
Temjin you are right! I just am tired of the mind set of the v8 head.........I used to be one. But now all I want is imports....go figure.
