Vantage should not be trusted
autocross is WAY MORE driver dependent than straight line. mashing the gas is fairly easy unless you're a moron.

autocross is probably 80% driver and 20% car.
WRong, Autocross and 1/4 mile BOTH rely on drivers still A LOT. 1/4 mile u need to launch good and shift well to get a good time, someething 90% of drivers think they are good at, but SUCK. its funny watching newbies put on short shifters and still get outshifted by the tranny. Go watch a real drag racer drive, its nuts the speed they can throw gears at, if they. Powershifting, and especially launching. just think a 2.2 60' could = 14.5' with the same car a 2.0 60' migth mean 14.0's or lower.

Just look at my friends 89 civic hatchback with a near stock B18c5( type R engine).
The thing ran 13.00's all season, then the 1 race he finally get's into the 12's he runs a 12.65, thats a HUGE jump that was ALL based on drivers skill. And he is amazing already, so seeing that kind of a jump is awesome.

I myself got my car from running 14.6's - 14.2's with the same setup just learning to drive. ( 14.5's - 13.8's on slicks)

Also build of the engine and knowing ur engine plays a HUGE rull. My friends b16a runs till 9200 RPM, he launches at 9000 RPM, cause if the car ever leaves Vtec it will bog and ruin his run. he was running 13.4's on a B16a/GSR head with CTR cams. Pretty damn good. this season he's gonig for 12's with toda D's

In case you haven't seen my new look.
Azenis look alot like stock and especially at night.

Me running a 35 shot will give me the same power to weight ratio even if there is only a 250lb difference.
2500/150=16.6
2250/135=16.6
everyone is trapping around 94-96mph, which is good for low to mid 14sec with a good 60 ft. I'm running .2-.5 faster NA on street tires and .7-.9 on Drs , so you would think I would do a little better than everyone on the Juice as well. And as I stated they are all running low to mid 14sec trap speeds. I am pretty confident that I can run a low to mid 14 with just a 35shot on Dr's for sure, street tires maybe maybe not. I know I will be bringing the vid cam for sure when I go. Now give me those 13" x7.5 lensos and some cheater slicks that I want and tell me I won't run 13's.
DJmota is running a Zex kit which is rated at the flywheel. So his 65 is = to a NX 50 which is rated at the wheels.
correct me if i'm wrong, but nitrous kits are all rated by flywheel horsepower. they can't rate it by wheel horsepower, because all cars have different drivetrain loss. even a civic can have more drivetrain loss one day than the next. they are rated by flywheel.

power/weight ratio unfortunately is not all there is to it. an ex has a more aggressive final drive as well as a slightly better power curve. just because someone in an ex does something doesn't mean you can accomplish it with the same mods. and a 94-96mph trap is good for HIGH 14's. the WRX traps 96mph in the low 14's. the Acura RSX-s traps 96mph in the HIGH 14's.

i'm telling you. you will NOT break 13's with a 50 shot.

re-read my post. while 1/4 mile still requires driver skill, auto-x is WAY WAY WAY more dependent on driver skill than the 1/4 mile.

my mom can drive stick. she could throw an S2000 down the 1/4 mile a lot faster than I could drive a civic down the 1/4 mile. do the same for the auto-x, and i gaurantee i can drive the civic around the auto-x faster than my mom can drive the S2000.

auto-x is WAY more dependent on driver skill. i can't even believe someone would disagree with that.

He used to be a very active member on our board and was very knowledgable with nitrous for our cars. I remember in his signature he had his times with the different shots he used. He had no reason to lie whatsoever. I wish he got on here more often so I could ask him personally. Look I'm going to the track on wednesday and we'll see if I break 14.9.

I am doubtful of a 14.4 from a 15.7 with JUST a 50 shot. either way, there's no way redline is going to break 13's with adding just a 50 shot.

when we both slow down in the middle of the highway after we just agreed to race I think he was racing. I honked three x and we went for it, but he said he didn't know what the honking meant. So according to him I got a head start. Which may be true, but he shure was trying and I just kept pulling. It was not an AT by the way. I'll let you know when we go at it again. No excuses this time.

milba has a little shameless behaviour in the past
i like racing

specially when its one of your friends who owns a 318is, runs it on premium, has i/h/e + m3 bodykit ( + 50whp) + blue neons ( + 200 whp) + psuedo cf stickers ( + 5000+ hp)
+ an m3 engine conversion

and im in a stock man sedan vic ... and beat him convincingly stop light to stop light...

... dont believe me? ( i forgot to mention that his injectors are rusted over and he runs an auto that stalls at traffic lights )

Your guess is wrong. **** I am kinda scared to run a 75 let alone an 80. trust me its a 65. tuned with race header ported head and bottle pressure around 950 psi. bfg drags and light 15's

your mods help that 65 shot work more effectively as if it was an otherwise stock civic with an 80 shot.

your 65 shot will do far more since you have had the car tuned, have a race header, ported head, etc.

Thanks man, never got the Lenso's though, sold out. So gonna run the BFG's still. :mad

S2000 man I almost tore off my exhaust today because of you. Went to get the car weighed and didn't see they had this speed bump just before the scale. Hit the down pipe pretty hard, but everything appears to be ok. Scare the fauck otta me. Especially when I saw this fluid dripping. Then I relized I had the AC on cause it's a 100 freakin degrees out.
Anyway with about 3/8 tank of gas and no passenger seat and everything else that I have taken out.

2380lbs with me in it.

Me=170

so using my highly intelligent math skills

Car=2210

Did I call it or what? Hold your applause please.
Guess the ol bathroom scale is pretty accurate.
