Its a 1997 Eagle Talon Tsi Awd vs. My Stafford Fabrications Turbo charged Honda at 8 psi with Motor mounts, Flywheel, Clutch, Pulleys, bored throttle body emanaged tuned?

talon - 215hp awd 4cyl turbo 3200 pounds

civ turbo - ~200hp fwd 2600 pounds

but who knows, at this point its drivers race cause hes got the launch youve got the power to weight ratio

Its a 3200lb car, not a lightweight by any means, any mods on it? is it a 5spd or the optional 4spd automatic?

also if you got an ex youve got the gear ratio (4.11 final drive ratio)

i had a friend with a 91 plymouth laser (same car as eagle talon different badges n trim but rwd), and i know hes hit 155 in that thing (civ tops out at prob 135) so ya if its 1/4 mile you got em.

I have an lx and i know the guy told me he went 156 and claims it will go 170 easily. No once i hit 110 i am gonna stop why race higher than that

Ive been in 2nd gen talons and eclipses, both NA and turbo. I can honestly say I doubt a turbo civic will take the turbo talon stock.
The 2nd gens do about 150 and thats it. thats topping 5th out, at least in the 2nd gen talon I was in when they did a top speed run.

And those cars with VERY few mods dip down into the 13's. The one car I was in had exhaust, ugraded BOV and wastegate, and fuel re-mapped. It was the AWD one and with how good the guy got at pulling out with it I remember feeling my body in the back seat but seeing it with my eyes still in the front. AWD and ultra high performance tires make for some insane whiplash action.
being a 97, if the person races it, chances are its gunna pummel the vic.

The NA talon, eclipse, laser is a much better car to race against.

why do people make such a big deal about top speed? winning a race isnt being able to be stupider and take ur car up to 150mph, its about getting their faster, any1 can have super long gay gears with a high top speed.
Take it to the track, race him in the 1/4 mile, get some slips and dont endanger peoples lives.

I personally think u will win, unless he has mods to his car. Even a boost controller so he can pump up the boost and ur toast, but if its bone stock i think u can take him.

I personally have raced a tsi and a esi with my modded NA vic. The tsi we ran 3 times from a dig and I got walked every time, but one and that was because he missed a gear and I let off at 80 when he was pulling back (80 is to fast in a 35). The esi was modded to the same extent as my car and it was close but I held about a car until 100 and then I pulled hard this was the same all three times that we ran from a dig.

So: a boosted vic and a esi would not even be a race the vic would win all day. I also think that a boosted vic would easily beat a stock tsi granted DSMs can make some great #s with little mods his car is stock and in stock form it is a low 15 second car. This coupled with the fact that he just bought the car and mostlikley can't drive it I would bet him money because you will win unless you mess up really bad.

He said to give him two weeks to learn to drive a little better so in two weeks we are gonna go at it. Besides top speed does not matter in these races we make marks whoever gets to the mark first wins so we wont take it up that high.

8 psi+ some weight reduction should run 13's if u can get some grip and know how to drive. no stock Talon will run 13's without a boost controller.

Relatively stock TSi's get those good numbers on the 1/4 because of the traction they're able to obtain; especially compared to FWD vics

From a roll, it should be a different story.

No i am not tuned actually so right now running 4 pounds at the most but usually low like at two. I have all that stuff taken out but i have a big *** speaker box and some 18's but for the race i will take out the speaker box and other useless items
