sadly i dunt believe this is true, i actually kept my mouth shut. but yesterday i installed my intake and i was with my friend he has a jetta 1.8t..well i told him that my breather hose was too short and he asked me to show him. lol when i popped the hood, he said u dunt need this breather hose (he pointed it to the 02 sensor lol)...

well after i showed him he said u know i ran a 14.2 at the track..his car is an auto with a weld on exhaust tip..i asked him how he ran a 14.2..he said, "yo bro, i did some work. its def all stock and i find it hard to believe even if he did the work it would still not be a 14.2

so i say bs..what u guys think..

He's BS'ing you.

A 5/6-speed Jetta 1.8T will see low 14s fairly easily with boltons and a chip, but the auto tranny is a REAL drain on the motor. I have a friend with an auto GTi 1.8T, and the best he could tag down with all boltons + chip is 14.8.

And this guy is claiming he's stock? HAH! He's probably one of the same who swear a stock 1.8T is faster than a stock VR6.

thats funny its like some kid i know who has a mazda 6 with an injen intake...says he ran a 16 then he took out his system (speakers) and ran a 15 flat....c'mon 1 second from taking out your system.....and when people asked to see his slips he said he lost them lol.

you know thats what i thought, but i doubt my auto can take it..only if it was manual i coudl show him up big time... i should just run him and see how it goes.
