04 TL vs S2000

just raced a modified s2000 (looks like cai headers exhaust) with my mom's 04 tl automatic. It got me on the start but as soon as I hit 100kmh (60mph) I got the upper and till 220kmh. That was fun

I don't think a TL has even enough to take a stock S2000, let alone a modded one.

Oh well... S2000 driver could not know how to drive...

hmm, i dont know the potential of the TL, but im sure that the s2k has the bigger advantage, mainly when it has mods on it AND the TL was auto

.

it is possible though, not every s2k driver is the best. nice kill. btw, was the TL the sport tronic shift? i heard switching it over to sport shift results in better shift times than just leaving it in D

yeah its the sport thing, and I was on the sport thing... but still, he got the upper hand in the begining, its at high speed that I started to takeover

....sorry i gotta call bs on this. the guy wuz probably just racing till 60. i'm sorry but a TL isnt gonna beat an s2000. an s2000 is an upper 13's car. i dont know why yur driving upto 150 mph anyways.

TL's are fast! but it's odd that you pulled at the higher speeds... I thought it would have been the other way around.

true story or not, the faster car didn't win. even a stock S2000 will own an 04 TL at any speed. better gearing, better power band, lighter weight. The TL is about 3600 pounds, and the S2k is 2700 pounds.

the guy in the S2k probably stopped racing you.

test drive better cars

j/k. torque can decieve in some cars. it's quick, but not the quicker driver for driver

04 TL 5AT is high 14s, S2000 is high 13s. Those are good times for both.

A TL better not take an S2000, and I know, I drive a CL type-S which has virtually identical performance to an 04 TL 5AT (Same drivetrain (less 10hp), but my car is lighter)
