S2000 vs New Altima
I dont remember who it was that was yelling at me because i have an s2000 and then they said something about the new altima will whup an s2000's butt. But here's the figure for your "super" altima.
According to Sport Compact Car 0-60 6.5 seconds and 1/4 mile is 14.5 @ 95.5mph. Well short of the S2000's numbers. Have a nice day.
Oh, and as for why I come to this site, it's for my love of civics. I started with a civic, and I still think civics rule when it comes to tuning and modding. And I still have a 96 civic that I use for winter and believe me, it's modded as well... Besides this site has better message boards than any other sites.

ahhh did you get it under your skin? It didnt mean to be a flame. I never said an Altima could whoop an S2k. I said it COULD beat it, in which it has been proven on video.

It is you who should have a nice day

Alright I'll give you that. Yes, it is possible though if both drivers do the right thing, the S "should" win. But yeah, it doesn't mean that we all know what we are doing. There are some out there who shouldn't have the right to drive stick.
I don't really care if an Altima can beat an S2000 (although I do find that hard to believe)... from the many reviews I've read, very few cars out there can match the overall driving experience of the S2000, in that same price range. The S2000 is my dream car - a dream car that is realistically attainable, I should add ...

er. the new 3.5 altima is faster than any stock prelude.
as for the s2000, if the guy can't drive. he'll lose. simple as that. same goes for the altima.
a s2000 can hit the high 13s if driven properly. I think ints regarded as a 14 sec car, but plenty of people has hit the high 13s with it.
if someone was to give me a choice between a s2000 and a altima though.. hard choice... I mean I like to carry around more than one passenger... but I guess I can use my civic for that. heh.
mmm. you should feel good that you have a sporty car to drive.. and another winter car or whatever to do the daily commuting... ah well. one day.

Is the S2000 worth the money? Yes. Every cent. I can't believe how much I love this car. (Though I love my civic too) If you ever drive one, you will never again wear clean pants. If any of you lived in wisconsin i MIGHT let you take mine for a spin, since you can't at the dealer. Maybe...
I have a pic of my car. email me if you want it. I dont have it posted on a site anywhere so i can't put it here.

I remember before I got my 2k1 how much I wanted an S2000. However after driving several "Sports" cars it has really dropped on my list. Ive driven one in PA and frankly its not as explosive an element as you describe. Reving to 9000 isn't shocking (Since Ive already been to 8 in my Si). I'd rather spend 32k tracking down a Toyota Supra Twin Turbo, which on the other hand, was an exciting drive.

I must say that I am surprised that you are not impressed with the S2000. Most people would probably disagree with your opinion. However, it is your opinion. Not to say that there aren't even more exciting cars out there. but I personally think that you get a lot for your 33k.
Dont get me wrong if someone gave me an S2K I wouldn't b!tch. But for 33k, 25 can go get me a Supra TT and the rest into mods....320hp with 315lbs of torque definatly gets my
over Honda's flagship.
Yeah, I would take a supra tt over an s2k any day. The power potential is staggering, not to mention ur givin a pretty good start to begin with. Although moddin the car is quite expensive its easy to get serious hp out of the engine.
