Also s2000man, please show me a link where you can get 4.77 gears for $300, my friend would seriously like to know (please no ebay auction). Also, back on the 4.77 gears, if these gears can or get close to the 12's in an s2000, why are people wasting 1000's of dollars more for a SC or TC to run 12's, if they can just get gears for loads cheaper.
I also remember you saying the s2000 has better performance than the 350z, well if that's so, how does a 250whp all motor 350z stay @ the door of a 280whp supercharge s2000?

in the long run, turbo or SC can get you faster than gears will. you will get a certain speed with gears, but a turbo or SC can get you more in the long run.
the neon will respond better to bolt ons, because yes, the S2000 is pretty wrung out. however, there are 300whp S2000's running around (that's 100whp over stock) that are N/A. it's mostly with ECU work, like the mugen ecu. but again, the neon will do better since it already has the turbo.
as for your 350z vs S2k, don't blame a car for a shitty driver. you can argue with me all you want, but the bottom line is both the 350Z and S2000 are capable of about a 13.7 in the 1/4/ mile. my350z.com forums will more than prove that. the cars are literally so close in 1/4 mile speed it's hardly discernable if one has an advantage over the other.
and as for $300 4.77 gears, point your friend here

Thanks for the link, but no warranty on the part =
. Also, that race w/ the s2000 vs. 350z was from a roll on the HWY. Thread Starter

regardless of what that race was on or where or whatever, the person driving the S2000 couldn't drive and was probably short shifting. you'd be amazed how shitty people can drive.
i myself have a friend who has a 350Z that is stock. we've raced so many times it's not even funny. We have done countless freeway runs including runs from about 70mph to 135mph. and we are DEAD EVEN THE ENTIRE WAY.
so no, a 350Z vs a supercharged S2k is not an even match. again, dont blame the car for some incompetent fool who shifts at 7000rpm or whatever he was doing. the 2 cars in stock form are dead even. a supercharged S2k should easily walk away from a 350Z in any way shape or form.
i've seen a Z06 vette run a 13.9, but does that mean I can go around on forums and say "an S2000 is as fast as a Z06 vette" ? no, it doesn't.
also, warranty on the part for the gears. lol. it's an aftermarket part. you're not going to get a warranty for an aftermarket part like gears unless you pay for it. some gear companies may offer a 1 year type deal (like the 4.57 gears) but that only warranties the gear. you're biggest concern at that point is not that you've got no warranty for your 4.77 gears but that you've voided any drive train warranty you had on the car. lol.
