EP3 Hatch tries pulling away Till this day I had read over and over again about how the new Si is slow but today I found out for myself. I dropped my dad off at work and I was heading back home when I see a blue hatch in front of me. All of a sudden he starts revving and takes off. The next light was red so he comes to a stop. I just got my headers installed so i thought eh what the heck lets give it a shot. He revs again, peels and takes off and I take off behind him. I expected him to pull away from me but he didn't go anywhere 
. I stayed on his tail the whole time and even gained a little bit of distance. I had to shut it off at 70 because the freeway was coming up. I drive an A/T LX w I/H/E.

Rep Power: 0 He was just toying with you unless he didnt know how to drive it. I used to have a Si with some mods and a auto 7thgen wouldnt really stand a chance especially from a roll. CDmx did a good job rollin with mine one time when we went at it on the highway though.

Rep Power: 368 I don't mean to hate, I mean it sucks to have a victory taken away by such posts, but really an automatic Civic with I/H/E wouldn't be able to keep up with an Ep3, from a roll or off the line. The guy must either have been playing with you or just been a bad driver. Sure it's a "slow" K20 but it still smokes the D17 any day.

Rep Power: 338 agreed on the bad driver, ep3's arent too quick, but they should easily handle a slushbox any day of the week, it woulda been more believable if you were in a 5spd
