3g Eclipse GT?!!?? WTH?!
Okay, well i was just chillin' at work and this douche walked in and asked some **** about his stereo (he has a 2000 mitsu eclipse gt 5 speed) and whatever, anyway... we got to talking about his car and hes like " yeah i took it to gateway (st. Louis drag strip) and i ran a 13, yeah its pretty fast man, itd eat a turbo civic anyday." me: WHAT? Him: oh yeah i ran a 13.8 at 101mph the other day, i ate a trans am for dinner. Me: really?, what mods do you have? Him: Intake Header(not headers), and magnaflows. Me: (sarcastically) Cool. Him: yeah im gettin a turbo kit too, when my parents get me the money for it, Me: cool that their paying for it (DOUCHE!!) Him: yeah the kit is $2000 installed me: wow thats cheap... Him: yeah then ill be in the 11'S!!! LOLOL

Rep Power: 0 they're really not that fast at all, yea the GT's have 220hp i think, but they're heavy as hell. And the RS model, ugh, is even worse. The only eclipse id buy is a GSX, and i still wouldnt drive it every day only because itd be on blocks 3 days a week

Rep Power: 0 Well i had a different encounter than you guys, i have a 5 spd EX and when it was stock I ran a auto GT and i got him off the line obviously, then he just gradually walked to a car lead....he lied to me in the first place saying it was a stock 4 cylinder, but when i saw what he did i knew it wasnt a 4. oh well

3g eclipses are high 15 second cars with manual to my knowledge. They are like a 3.8 v6 mustang, camaro, or firebird except a TAD worse (FWD).
Im talking about the 2000+ domestic v6s of course... Not the 3.4 GM or that 140hp 3.8? mustang.

this is funny cause I went to autozone by my house and asked for a specific type of tranny fluid. they asked why I needed that kind after assuring me it didnt exist lol I told him it was for my celica and he laughed.
(I get that alot when I say I race my celica at the tracks), if laughing wasnt enough he asked if it was the pos outside. So I asked what car he had and he said it was an eclipse and that he ran 13.8 at a lil over 100 mph at csw. with I/H/E.
I was like yeah thats not too bad (knowing he was full lying) I said yeah I ran 13.7 at 101.25 before the mods I have on now
. then I showed him the empty bottle of fluid he assured me didnt exist and kindly told him impossible it would be for his crapmobile to run that time.
kinda funny you were told the same thing lol. and if it came from a k&n comercial that makes it even funnier. I just thought the guy was an idiot. aparently he can add loser to that as well lol

I have seen V6 eclipses run 13. I own one and I dont run 13s but I have seen it done with only bolt ons. Idk how but I know ive seen it. Also an eclipse with single turbo can run 11s easy even with stock internals.
