I thought you guys might find this amusing.

Last night I was with my friend, going to grab some dinner, and a CRX, with a black body, gray primer spots, white side skirts, blue front and rear bumper, 3 stage wing on the roof, stick on hood scoop un painted, 2 rims in the back and steelies in the front with one of those reactive $80 mufflers with up turned dual tips comes up next to us at a light. All 3 people in the car turn and stare at us as they turned down their music. Then while staring, they revved the motor to what sounded like redline about 3 times, as the light turned green the passenger yelled "smoke em!!!!" to the driver, as he peeled out for about 2 feet and drove to the next light.

Now, you may be asking, what kind of car does my friend drive to incite this type of racing enthusiasim from import "tuners"???

He drives a 2000 Cherry Red Chevy Camaro Z28 SS full SLP 6 speed. 350 torq 345 HP. Surely a worthy opponent for the CRX.

CRX's have the option of having a backseat.

i've seen 4 in one, but its not a pretty sight.

Donno, is it really a 2 seater? There was a guy sitting behind the rear seats looking out of the rear windows....haha thats even more ghetto if he was just sitting in the trunk.

edit: They had the Z28 SS in 2000. It also has the SLP package.

I don't think this car had that option. Even if it did u would have to lay down in the back to get your legs in and head to fit.

And yes they are 2 seaters if they didn't take the option which I don't think it was an OEM option, or at least not one in the US.

Lol yeah it is kinda like making the small bench that isn't a seat in the back of the del sol a seat. We would always go visit my cousin in arizona when I was younger, and and they always made me get in the back on that thing. Man talk about uncomfortable.

Yeah, and I mean, it wouldent have been so bad had they been revving on my civic...but come on....a muscle car like that? wtf were they thinking. His car runs 13.5 in the 1/4 STOCK.

dam they were fast and furious! if i do recall that was a quote from the movie, "smoke em" when the supra and ferrari raced. they must have just seen the movie on hbo and got wood!

yeah, a Z28's a beast, let alone an SS. SLP does great things to those cars (awesome suspensions, BIG tires, engine work). Supposedly the last few years SSs and Firehawks got LS6 parts instead of LS1 so they are probably >360 flywheel HP (ive read ~375 in some cases). Thats a whole lot o' fun w/ a T56 6 speed and a solid rear axle.

people that rice out the crx should be shot. my crx is all go no show. i cant wait till i get the car soon. b18 ls motor, with a turbo pushing 20 lbs of boost w/forged internals with hondata s200 with boost option. an easy 400 hp. remember, all go, no show.
