ok thats how the layout was. i was coming up to a red with two lanes in either direction, the red was for an intersection going across a 6 lane highway (3 in each direction). when i pull up to the red, i see a VW bug, and a gray haired, 40yearold guy driving.

since after the interesection my lane ends (as in the pic), i had to get in front of him since there were tons of cars behind the bug. so once green hit, one second later i floor it off the line while to my suprise, the bug guns it RIGHT when it hits green, before me. so im like "ok..... a 40 yearold guy with a red bug is racingme, and all i did was glance over...."

i wasnt even wanting to cause... well.... auto+stockcivic=SLOW!

so obviously off the line he killed me since he got a head start and VW engines have most torque down low. but as i hit the top of first gear (40MPH), i started pulling caues i guess he doestn have much peak horsepower up high. as i pass him, i look over and smile and he does this kinda thing to me:

But, yeah. Those 40-year olds are kinda weird. You never know when they're gonna attack. See, with ricer kids, you know they're gonna try to race everyone they see, including pedestrians and bikers. Speaking of those race-on-a-whim 40-year olds, my dad is one of them with his 525i. Out of nowhere, he just blows ricers away; it's fun, until you encounter a tuned 350Z [don't wanna talk about it ]

TDI is turbo diesel, whereas the 1.8T is the same engine as the Jetta 1.8T or the GTI. It would say "turbo" above the VW emblem on the back.

And you did sorta get pushed around by that beetle. I mean to say, you should've done much better against them, but I don't mean to be a jerk. I don't like Beetles, that's all.

umm u can get a turbo beetle with a 1.8t.. it used to be called turbonium, you can tell its turbo by the little spoiler that moves out of the roofline at like 60
