Rep Power: 0 ^^ better off not racin it especially if you want fast times. just because the shifter shows 2nd doesnt mean the car skips first gear. lol automatic EX would run 17- 18 seconds in the 1/4 regardless of bolt ons. I have seen one that would do mid 15's but he had bolt ons and a 50 shot. lol good luck.

Rep Power: 0 even if you do you're talkin less than a .05 time difference. It's not that important on the auto civic.
if you're tring to race that seriously, either boost it or trade it in for a manual. you'll never pull good times with your car.

Rep Power: 305 torque braking (holding the brake and applying gas up to around 2500 rpms, then releasing the brake) is the only way to get a slightly better launch. of course, it isn't good for the car, but done occasionally you should be ok.

isnt there a way to like modify the actual shifter itself to let you go down to first, like putting it into "1" like any other automatic ("L" for toyotas). cause when you pop it into "2", there is still space for one more shift, but there is probably a piece of plastic in the way. any ways to get this thingy out?

Rep Power: 0 did your ( . ) key on your keyboard break?? jesum crow i've never seen such long run on sentences in all my life...
tell your friend auto = slow. and auto's in drag racing just reinforce the fact that racing in straight lines is boring. it requires some skill with a manual, but NO skill with an auto. mash your foot and go...sounds like TONS of fun..
