Cool First Time Out...

Well last night was my first time out at the strip. I almost left last night undefeated, but I messed up on my last race and lost by a fender.

Race #1: Me vs. 93 Accord Ex with cam, cam gear, intake, exhaust and a chip. My take-off was so-so, I am use to the firestones so I have to get use to the new ones. I ran a 16.667 and he ran like a 17. With my elevation being at 3950ft, with a calculations chart it came out to a 15.87.

Race #2: Me vs. stock new Camry. Right after my first race an older man came up to me asking me a bunch of questions in Spanish LOL. So I had my friend translate and he was asking to race, so I said "What the hell?". It was probablly a 4cyl since I beat him.

Race #3: Me vs. 3rd Gen Integra RS with the exact same mods as mine (The Megan Racing hi-flo cat is the exact same design for the Integra as it is for mine) but he was fully gutted. I came off of the line at his fender. Then I shifted into 2nd and we became dead even, and by the end of second I was about a half a car in front of him. We crossed the finish line like that.

Race #4: Me vs. 92-95 Civic Sedan with a built 96 LX bottom end, 99 Ex head, cat-back, intake, ACT Clutch with a flywheel, gutted, and God knows what else. I got a really bad launch and missed the 3rd orange light And I thought that I could catch up to him but a 1/4 mile just wasn't enough.

All in all, It was a lot of fun. I want to gutt my car and get there earlier next time so I can pratice.

I think that I can do better. I just need some pratice. My best time that night was a 16.256. Suprisingly, there My friend with a gutted 02 Si with a 3'' custom cat-back and a SRI was running a 16.0.

Next week I want to make sure I get a couple of pratice runs in. I want to run a 4th gen Prelude Si with I/E who was running around the same times as me.

Wasn't listed, but my reaction time in the race against the Integra was .681. That's bad isn't it?
