Starting in 2nd Gear?
Hey guys with my video games (don't flame me) I've noticed starting the race in 2nd gear results in a faster exceleration. Now I've put some thought into this and realized this is because you don't have to shift at the low engine speeds and you can just keep on accelerating. So my question is, would anyone be willing to try this maybe go to a track or something? or would this kill your gears in real life? Thanks.

2nd gear for faster starts usually requires the car having such large amounts of torque that 1st gear + full throttle is just a burnout gear. Since Hondas are about as far from torque monsters as you can get... its pretty stupid. Every try to start from a dead stop in 2nd? It takes just short of forever.
