actually only in recent performance cars will it auto or paddle shift, shift faster than a human (assuming the human is a very good driver).
This has been proven during a test of BMW's new SMG gearbox, they timed Micheal Scumacher (sp?) on a stick shift and he shifted gears on an average of roughly .1 seconds, the SMG shifts averaged at .133 seconds. Now providing not everyone is as skilled as micheal i think the SMG will **** faster than most of us.
BTW i shift faster in my mazda than the auto does in the civic. esspically from 3rd to 4th

the e55 is an auto, most benzes are.
the thing is ridiculously fast, and more than comfortable for 5 people. ****, if I had 85k and needed a family car, id be rockin one of those.

Umm. dont' get me wrong, the cobra is damn quick. But the interior is pure crap. I sat in a new mustang GT and it's interior was of a much lower caliber than my acura. Cobra's have virtually the same interior. and as for sound system. no stock stereo can compare to focal utopias Bi-amped by McIntosh and a W7 off a nakamich HU, which i run. It has decent handling. Still i wouldn't purchase this car. If i wanted a ***** out perforamcne car i'd go for an FD RX7. Do a single turbo conversion. and have way better handling. I might do this for car #2.
