Si vs GTI

So on my way to work, I'm driving and this chode in a GTI with dark freakin tinted windows flies up behind me and is going in and out of traffic like he owns the road. Well I pull ahead of him, b.c thats the flow of traffic. So now i'm about 3 lengths ahead, but we hadnt started racing yet. Then the traffic all cleared out (the main turn off was at a past intersection) and then the road becomes pretty windy. I drive this road everyday on my way to work, so i konw it like the back of my hand. Anyways, i see him gun it and try to pass me, so i gun it as well. Through the first turn he backs off a bit and i pull far ahead. i come out of it, downshift, and keep pulling. into the next turn i continue to pull on him. by the end of the stretch of windy road (probly a little over 1/8th of a mile) i was well over 8 lenghts ahead of him. after that road there is about a half mile stretch of straight open road, so i drop and take off, and he does the same. he never came within those 8 lengths tho. anways...bored and work and felt like sharing

Nice run. Arnt those GTI's quick? I guess he didnt want to push his car hard in windy corners. It doesnt matter. A win is a win. Props to you.

Very nice. A little battle of the hatchbacks action.

They handle pretty good in stock form. Not as good as an Si, IMO. But the GTI 1.8t is faster stock 4 stock, not to mention the chip potential.
