Not really, seen it happen twice out here in vegas... not the boom that FAF did (Stupid movie) but more like Engine fire caused and then fuled by the NO2. whole front of the car burned to crap.

possibly, but most likely it was a mechanical failure. a line blew or something like that.

P.S. Its currently 40 Deg F here in vegas. and it was in the low 30s last night.

(Just because its a desert dosn't mean that its hot all the time, it just means that it doesn't rain alot).

Ok here is my guess, my buddy has a 02 civic ex cp he ran a 14.78 (around that, don't remeber the exact time) and here are a list of his mods. We live in Houston, Tx. low elevation and the temp was in low 60's with low humidity.

75 shot of n2o (with all the stuff...bottle heater, etc...)
Intake
Open header
Drag slicks on light rims
All seats out, only drivers seat
No spare or jack
Bag of ice on the intake before race, to cool it down

He is a good driver, always at the track.

So you should hit about high 14's or low 15's

14.7's on a 75 shot is slow...especially on slicks and an open header. lease:

I hit 14.4 on a set of worn out drag radials with a full exhaust and a 2.34 @ 60'

I'm gonna try to hit a 14.2 or better when I go back.
