Nitrous time
Hey..i'm taking opinions on what time i should expect to see next year @ the strip. 2002 DX 5 speed. stock rubbers, or 17" 215/40's. CAI, custom 2 1/4 exhaust with G spec muffler, HP header, colder plugs. I will be running a zex kit. take your guesses on each shot 50-65-75. Oh ya, bottle heater & purge valve....and i consider myself a good driver. any idea would be great. Lets use an average day's conditions.

17's and low profile tires arnt really good for drag racing, but then again the stock tires arn't that great either...... Pick up some light 15's and some sticky rubber.

the 17'"s will definately slow you dow....the stock tire suck as well...though
I was able to hit 15.7's with bolt ons on the stock firestones with the tire
pressure at 23 lbs psi. Now I'm pulling 16.1's spinning in 1st second and 3rd.
I also dropped my time .2 to .3 seconds switching from my AEM CAI
to a K & N FIPK II.
Time for new tires...I am getting rota slipstreams whith the kumho MX's 205/50/R15

If you want good tires to drag with, Those BF goodrich Comp T/A Drag radials will lower your 60' by .15 to .2 easily!!
Also my point was if this is his first time at the track his times will be a lil slower then they should be! Cause we all know how humbling the first track day is!
Good luck!

no its not my first time...i've done 40 or so passes, i think i'm pretty good....my launches are clean and my shifting is smooth. I will be going with the stock firestones...maybe will get some better rubbers, but i'm looking for predictions with the stock rubbers and the bolt ons and different nitrous shots i said. So how about some times???

75 shot??? I'm looking for times with that. Its pefectly safe...there has got to be a hundred people on here that are running it. I will do mostly 50's....but when i want to beat a car really bad or try to make it a race with a mustang, a prelude with a 50 shot, an RSX or try and keep up with an SRT-4....then i'll use the 75...maybe only 1 or 2 times a month.
I'm thinking a 14.5 or 14.6, if the one guy is running a 14.85 with a 50 shot and the same bolt-ons...i think its reasonable. Some people were trying to tell me that even with a 75 shot i wont break the 15's with our humid canadian days??? let me know what you think
The person who gets the closest will get all my points (which by then will be like 3000) and a post praising him/her as a god among men

as for the exhuast question.....HP Racing Full header with high flow cat/downpipe and a custom 2.25" setup behind that leading up to a Gspec muffler.
