17's? do you have an AT? i have a AT with injen CAI and tanabe exhaust and i ran 16.8 with 3/4 tank of gas, amp/subs, spare tire but i have an EX. switch back to stock tires and lighten your load...that should bring your times down a bit.

That doesn't mean anything. I have an EX Manual and my friend has an LX auto and he has beaten me before in races at the track. Granted I bogged my car off the line, but even when i won he was right there next to me everytime.

DX, LX, and EX have very little differences if any at all. VTEC in our cars is not a big deal and the LX/DX guys aren't missing out on much.

Yea, i'm sure that must be it. See as how I've been racing on a track for the last 5 years back when I had a Trans Am. We've even switched cars at the track. It doesn't make a difference.

You EX isn't as great as you think it is.

EDIT: BTW, we are going to the track again tomorrow. Me and another 2k2 EX. So far he has won one race and I have won one. Lets see how the results are tomorrow.

I guess those times are good for an auto, but if its a manual even with 17 inch rims you should be able to high 16s. Especially when the air is that cold.
