Majestic Honda

So I purchased a list of suspension items from Majestic Honda and had it shipped USPS. I never received any confirmation that the package was shipped or the shipping charge. I checked the transaction on my credit card and figured out they charged me $15 shipping, above the $4.95 handling fee. When I received the package it was packaged nicely and the shipping label stated it was 5 pounds. Hmm, 5 lbs at $15 that seems a bit excessive. So a quick look at the USPS site shows shipping for a 5lb package from their zip to mine is $9.85 (before the new postal service increase). So a quick email to them gets no response. A second email a couple of days later gets a response with a person to contact at the 1-800 #. I call this morning, got straight to him and he said there will be a credit on my card today.

So the short of it is always double check your shipping charges and hopefully there will be a credit on my card. All in all, I'd give them a 7 out of 10 for cheap prices, good shipping, poor overcharging, and hopefully good customer service (I reserve the right to change this rating based on whether the credit is issued or not).

parts are usually way cheaper than a dealer though. I order from them ALOT. Probably spent about 1500 in the last 2 years. Never had a problem at all. I do think they need to change their shipping stuff though. It makes for agrivated customers. I have grown used to it. I dont have time to go chase parts so it saves me tons to get home and place an order knowing that in 2-3 days it will be at my doorstep. I guess it all depends on the situation if the shipping is worth paying.

^^^^ it depends what you buy. Buying nuts bolts, bumper fasteners, gaskets, other small crap is in no way economic. The money you save is made right back up in the handling fee and insane shipping. On the other hand, if you drop 100 bucks or more, then you start saving money vs. what the dealer charges.
