DONT PURCHASE FROM IMPULSE (Jay) or from www.vividlights.com his website!!!

i purchased a HID kit from this guy about a month ago. i asked for the XTEC kit and he says he said that he could ship them to me no problem. i sent him the money for $325 via paypal and i finally get the product 2 weeks later when he promised me a week.

1. when i got the package the kit wasnt even in the origional packaging, it was in a UPS box. everything was simply thrown in there with bubble wrap around it. ok, no problem...

2. the kit i got was a Prolumen kit. i asked for XTEC and he sends me this one. i PMed him and he said "i thought i told you it was Prolumen." he never said anything like that to me. i let it go because he said it was a better kit, blah, blah, blah

3. when i took a look at the contents of the HID kit, i found out i was missing parts. i told him about it and he said "everything should be there." through some nice enough people on this site, i asked for some pictures of the kit and they were nice enough to send me some pictures. it turns out that i'm missing a wire harness that connects to the ballast and stock headlight harness. i showed Impulse the pic and he said he'd ship them out to me.

4. along with everything from the HID kit being tossed in a UPS box, i didnt even get a warranty card, mounting hardware, and the bulbs were just put in some separate box. it looked so careless that i'm iffy if the bulbs even work.

Its been 1 month now and i'm sitting here with a useless HID kit and am out $325!!! i'm been trying to PM this guy but he claims that he never got them. before he shipped out the HID kit, this guy answered all of his Private Messages and responded them within a day at most. i finally was able to catch him on AIM and now he just avoids me. WTF is that???? i purchased this kit from this kid because he had a good reputation on this site.
$325 dollars may not be alot of money for some, but i work hard for my money and this guy is just taking advantage of me.

i saved all of the private messages and AIM conversations between this guy so i have all the evidence against him. i still have my pay pal receipt too. all i'm asking for now is a full refund. i'll even pay for shipping back to him, but he's not even responding. this is so shady! i'm gonna file a police report/complaint against his online business with the New York police, and pay pal. this is so ridiclous. i'm sorry it had to come to this but you leave me no choice.

thanks gearbox. people that sell things on this site should mirror the way gearbox does business. it just bugs the hell out of me when people take advantage of others and take their hard earned money.

hm... if u actually search this forum for a bit, u would know some ppl are actually having problem with him as well. so basically there are mix feedbacks from buyers. and from what i can piece together, he got into a really bad accident a while ago that makes him forget about things.
also prolumen is actually better than xtec like he said.

all in all, hope u can get this thing resolve.

^^^ it doesnt matter if the prolumen kit is better than the xtec, its actually besides the point. the whole underlying reason is that he sold me a kit that is completely useless and i'm out $325 because of it. as for the accident... i dont know, it seems far fetched, but if its true then he should use post its.

Eh, I've seen off topic threads started by him yesterday so hes around. He's been on the site a while - he should get on his horse and try and resolve any issues. I think he's a vendor, maybe you can contact Pharoh or Derek to try and aid in resolving the issue - they have helped with other shady vendors before (ie. Circa-X). Good luck.

Bro, the same thing is happening to me rite now, i paid him $334 for my hid kit and it too is missing thewire harness that connects to the ballast and stock headlight harness. i showed Impulse the pic and he said he'd ship them out to me also. Be for the sale he is quick to answer his pms and has also avoided me. Some times taking days for a reply. I told him i wanted a refund and he told me he would charge me a restocking fee! He wont give me a adress to return the kit that wont work or refund my money. Iam still waiting for the wires cus i was tired of waiting for my refund. We should both go to paypal and compain as we both have paper weights sitting on our desks.
good luck and lets both work on him for our money back.

same thing happened to a friend of mine except he was told that this is what he is selling now

the Prolumen kit is NOT better than the Xtec kit
(the ballasts/ignitors are separate and the bulbs/shields suck

the amount of the sale is irrelevant, you have every right to feel cheated

yeah, this guy USED to be good at being a vendor. thats the exact reason i brought from this guy. i didnt know that he ripped off other members on this board, that just pisses me off even more. seriously (to all the moderators), if this kid is doing this to the members on this board then you should kick his *** off the boards so he cant do it again. either that or get his *** to do something. this is totally unfair to all the honest people on the forums.

I first PMed him about him selling the HIDs to make sure that he actually sold them (i wasnt sure if he was a vendor). he then told me to send payment to him via paypal, and he had a website called www.vividlights.com, etc. i also used the search function to look him up and gather info about what type of seller he is, etc.

so does that mean he's banned from the site now?

um the prolumen is actually not that great. it has TONS of glare I've seen in person. And no Impulse does not have a vendor license here anymore.

ok... First, what you guys dont realize is that the product that you are receiving is coming from California from my supplier. Meaning I have no physical contact to the kit itself... I cannot open the box and look to make sure everything is in there.

Everything has been fine but then he has been ****ing up latley and of course iam left behind with this "negativity".

All that I can do is get on the phone with him and send him emails which I have been doing. Go look through the forum and you will notice there have been problems in the past and yes, they have all been fixed.

There were 2 recent purchases were both of the people were missing the plug from the ballast to connect to the OEM adapter. Both of the "missing" peices were sent out to the people (according to my supplier).

About the selling products on 7thgen... I dont sell anything on this site... I havent advertised saying that I do still sell anything. People come to me, nothing wrong with that.

first of all, you are the vendor of this product. it doesnt matter what the supplier does, YOU have to stand behind what you sell right? and how the hell are the people that order things from you supposed to know if you even shipped out our products or otherwise. you dont even bother responding to us after you have collected our money. thats shady as hell. and the AIM message? you jut signed on, dont give me crap abour your computer restarting on its own.

we as clients have a right to know what is happening especially when you have more than $300 of our money. if you said your supplier sent out the harnesses to us then they're lying to you. its been 2 weeks since then, and its been 1 month since i've recieved your HID kit thats completely useless.

tell me this, how would you feel if you were in our shoes?

Impulse, if your life is too busy, then maybe you shouldn't be trying to sell and operate a business. I know I have a hard time just dealing with my fs thead on here. And its time for a new supplier because this has happened more than a few times already. And blaming the supplier is stupid, its YOUR responsibility to deal with that as a vendor.

 

The missing harnesses are not Vivid Lights' fault.

We've hired some new people and they simply were not aware.
On Friday, we'll ship out the 2 harnesses to you.

the bottm line is this: something has to be done. whether its the supplier's fault or not, we as customers have a right to a refund, especially if he merchandise has never been used.

i've said it before that if its too hard to ship out the part, then i'd be happy to return the HIDs to you for a refund of my money and even pay for the shipping.

because you are having problems with you supplier doesnt mean you can simply shift the problem to us and forget about it. and dont tell me you have to work hard either, i work a fulltime job, plus a part-time job and go to summer school.

Okay wow that's super! Nobody cares about your numbers and scans. Have you seen this kit installed on a car? The glare is almost blinding to oncoming traffic and borderline dangerous to operate. Now a REAL QUALITY kit like Catz from Japan has very little glare at all, because it was specifically designed to be used with halogen assemblies. So don't go making wild claims based on nothing. You and I both know 99% of the kits are used on the roadway, and that they are dangerous. Do you know why else your tests don't mean anything? no D.O.T. approval. Sorry and thanks for playing.
