It is ALWAYS the vendors fault if something happens. That is no excuse to blame the supplier. Why do you think the top vendors here do so well? They actually have suppliers they can trust to back them up. So if I sell something to a member here but its at home in another state, I ask my brother to ship it out. Well nothing happens they don't get the product, should I just tell the member to take it up with my brother? NO.

numerous complaints were from what? I'd assume missing parts from HID kits? Issues like customers not recieving missing parts/refund? Once again, if it is missing parts, it is his supplier. As for refunds taking so long, Im sure he contacts his supplier to get that missing part to his customers, thinking that his supplier actually did send it out, he waits a couple days for product to arrive, but doesn't...so he contacts them again, wait a couple more days, and nothing. Then he actually refunds the money. Even though he is online, it doesn't mean he is there physically...i leave my AIM on all day all night. Im only on for a total of 3hrs a day.
Regardless, i hope you guys get what you guys are after.

do you see a difference between your brother who has 1 set of HIDs and a supplier who mass distributes products? Of course not you dont tell the member to take it up with your brother, YOU are going to have to take it up with your brother. Where as in Jay's position a company which distributes the products in mass quantities have a rep to maintain(if any), and it is Jays job to get his supplier to get the products to customers so Jay can maintain his. Obviously his supplier did a shjtty job on it and Jays getting all the blame.

I dont know how much more clear this can be?? if i buy an exhaust from auto zone, and they have it drop shipped from some company in california, and i get the exhaust and it's incomplete, who do I go to? I go to auto zone. Why? Because it is THEIR responsibility to buy the product I bought FROM THEM, regardless of where it came from. if auto zone took my money in the transaction, THEY are responsible for seeing that transaction is completed and satisfactory.
So, regardless of what his vendor did, it is HIS responsibility to fix it. And if his vendor wants to screw impulse and say oh well, then impulse has to bite the bullet and give the refund. Period.
lastly, aside from all of this, is the fact that he is NOT a vendor on this web site, and should NOT be selling products through any contacts made via 7thgencivic.com.
this is not open for discussion.

it just takes some explaining. it sucks if his supplier screwed him over, but unfortunately, that's business. nothing is risk free.

Honsetly, You guys complain more than woman
The whole point of this thread is because 2 memberes were missing the exact same peices and have been waiting for that part. As of right now... They are going to get it. So now, that problem is taken care of.
Now, we have another interesting problem... I cannot sell HID kits to 7thgen members?
Thats basically what it comes down to... How else would they get me screen name or email address?
Tell me... How do people get your screen name? Usually from a friend, family, ect...
I guess the only way for me to make a permitted sale from a 7thgen member would be if he got my Screen name or Email from a friend or another member (since it COULDNT have gotten it from this site, cause that would have been "bad" of me?).
Whatever, Honestly I have been part of this forum since Mar 2003
I was and still am the person that people come to with questions regarding HIDs and Lights for their car in general...
I was even an actual moderator of the site but it was taken away from me because of a situation like this
Basically what this comes down to is that I cannot help how people contact me. If someone wants an HID kit or any kind of light product for their car, I will answer all their questions and I will make a sale with them.
Thanks to the people that have joined in on this thread and have made interesting points that noone is actually paying attention to.
I' am going to enjoy my day with paul van dyk @ central park

btw... I' am still at 94.6% Positive with feedback with 31 sales
I believe ive sold over 100 HID kits to just 7thgen members alone
so, out of all of it, i believe only 6 people complained? Good, I still consider myself a great person to deal with

If this is the case then the option to contact members via email should be removed from the site. Only licensed and authorized vendors and moderators should be able to access the email option, or us be able to reach their email menu. I don't see how he can do anything except tell people that he's not authorized, but he can't control them going out of their way through this site to contact him. Maybe I'm just confused, but what I'm getting at is how can he be reprimanded for the actions of others?

On behalf of Black03Civic and I, we would like to thank everyone for their support in this whole ordeal, especially to the moderators.
The whole point of this thread was to get Jay's attention because nothing was being done... and it worked. I believe if I never created this thread Black03Civic and I still won't know whats going on. Jay, like I said before, I'm sorry it had to come to this. You're probably a great vendor, but unfortunately I didn't get to experience this. Lets stop arguing over this and move on.
Thank You to the moderators once again.

k, here's how i look at it, i'll put it into a story. i have 2 friend, fred. and billybob. now, my friends are hicks and fred old beat up chevy trunk has a bad transmission. fred takes his truck to billybob transmission shop, 4 months later, fred's chevy truck is still nothing but a flower box. Now, fred goes to billybob and billybob tells fred that the transmission he needs to call his supplier that rebuilds the trannys, fred calls at least once a day and everytime leaves msgs for billybob, no fred's truck is his source of food, no truck=no roadkill. Fred actually gets a hold of billybob about 1 time a week max. at this point, fred just wants his truck back to take it somewhere else, so what should billybob do? refund fred his money, and get his tranny back for his supplier, and apologize to fred for the inconvience, now this is the part where both fred and billybob need be men and fred needs to realize even though it sucks it's not billybobs fault, it was out of his control. Billybob needs to realize yes, it sucks that he lost the sale but he knows that in the end he did the thing to help the customer most and thats it. Impulse, i see where ur coming from but the only thing i would do differently in your shoes is first admit your fault. u know you did him wrong, u fixed it but think if someone treated u like u treated him. exactly. What i would of done in impulses shoes is, reem my vendor a new butthole so they'd be pooping out of like 3 holes for a year, and if they still didn't work, i would find another vendor asap to get those parts. I would look for a vendor for a week, talkng to my customer everyday so they know whats going on and such. After a week of searching, if those parts were not in the mail, then the refund would be. Thats what i would of done cuz thats what i would want done to me.

i think you're failing to see that there are 2 people that have lost $325. it doesnt matter what he's done before, its what he's doing now. i havent seen those harnesses that were "shipped" out last week, and i personally dont think i'll ever see them. if you go to post #24, the supplier says to "contact jason at vivid lights." well i did that yesterday, and guess what??? their e-mail address doesnt work. no suprise here. both jay and his damn supplier are shady as hell.

I know there are problems between you because of the parts. But he's been restricted, and almost everyone knows about him and his reputation, so theres really no reason to keep bumping this thread. It's not helping you, him, or us really.. so you may want to just stick with dealing with it personally.
