WHERE TO START
I have a 2002 EX Civic coupe and I am new to the scene. I am having a problem with "WHERE DO I START????" Do I get an air intake first or do I get new rims first? Basically my car is stock and it needs to unstock its self real quick. Any suggestions as to what I sohuld start with first?

Check out the DIY area, there are a few things you can do to make your car look un-stock quick (clear headlights, etc). As for what to do first... if you want a noticeable change, definately start w/ the exterior. Rims and drop are the first to change... especially if you have stock hub caps
Then maybe go with intake, exhaust and header... in that order.... IMO. Everything else was well said by Fly.
Also, come up with an objective. What do you want to get out of your car, so at least you have a direction that you want to go. Generally its show or go... its up to you!

I would have to say my objective is to have a nice clean look but at the same time never having to worry if my car can hold its own.
At some point in the "future" I do want to be able to actually compete in some of the local races ...... there are some folks over here that are running 11's 12's ..... but of course I am trying to do it with some sort of style!
1. Clean looks
2. ability to handle the road
3. SPEED

Get rims first... thats the most expensive thing you'll probably do, so doing it first eliminates the excuse, "I have no more money." Then lower the car, clear the lights, tint the windows, then spend some cash on audio stuff, and start a CD in order to afford a K20A2 or a Turbo.

wouldn't audio cost more than rims? at least with me, but then again.. i overdo everything. you'll be able to hear me from two miles away by the time i'm done. Just so everybody knows.. if ya hear Pantera loud enough that it sounds like you're on stage with them, that'll be me.. lol..

Hell.... I could never spend $1650 on stereo stuff... but I had no problem doing it on wheels, and that was with a little restraint... I was gonna spend more.

i would say go with rims first, that probably the besdt thing if u want a clean look
from there you should clear ur headlights, not alot of money at all
paint your engine, while ur clearing the headlights(that ones up to you)
exaust and intake
lower
tint
kit
and then go for sound
thats my 5 cents (im preety sure thats the expression)

drop it first, go with an good suspension set up i.e. tein SS
it i'll pay in the long run. Then rims and go onto wtv you want. Btw gettin into the 12's will cost a way lot. So either save up for a swap and change what you gotta from there and so on or turbo.

i personally started with audio first, its what i use more than anything, from long road trips to the burger king down the block. then i'd say drop it, then rims, rims on nose bleed (aka stock) height dont look to cool but thats JMO.
Thanks for all your input I have a much better view of where I will start with my car now.
P.S
I love the air freshener idea .... I believe some people I know should sleep with those things as well !!!

OK Here's another one !!!
ENGINE SWAP - K20A or H22A
and is it even possible to fit the H22A into my 02 coupe? What is the difference b/w H22A & K20A ...... besides price?
I know I am going for speed definetly. Is it worth spending the extra money for the engine swap or staying with what I have?
I know having a K20A would be a great show piece if installed ..... but at the same time I am just going for sheer speed. Any advice for the newbie?
