i used "permatex" clear silicone, worked like a charm.

yeah thanks as well... i feel more comfortable doing this mod, since the DIY was pretty vague compared to this topic

Any of you guys try "baking" to get them apart easier? Put them in the oven at 180 F for about 15-20 minutes. Pull them out and pry them apart. Then to reseal, put them back together, pop them back in the oven for 15-20 minutes, take them out and hold them together tight for a couple minutes.
