I have been hearing a poping sound under heavy accel. and turns and stuff and I thought it was just the strut mounts that everyone was talking about! WRONG! I looked at my gorges civic this morning and i see a big dent in the hood, so i go investigate the dent thinkin some kid dented it, but when i got closer it comes out of the hood right where my AEM CAI comes out of the throttle body! Guess what? Motor mounts are bad and the intake has been beating the bottom of my hood!! Lucky I seen it early so Im taking of my intake until I get energy suspension motor mounts! Does anyone know if they make them for our cars yet? Oh yeah my water pump is out to and that will cost a whopping $542.00 to get fixed!!![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG]

get a carbon fiber hood...they usually cost less than $500

what kind of carbon fiber hoods have you seen on the market? Getting one for under $500 will prolly get you a pretty crappy one.......... my buddy just got an invader style for his 94 hatch for $550, there aint no way your getting one under 500 that is even half way decent. Screw that idea

naw, there was a group buy on grade-A hoods for like 450 shipped, they were pretty nice looking. just shop around and you'll find something good, but make sure to use hoodpins with ANY CF hood, even if they dont require it. gotta protect your investment!
