Talking My 1996 Civic EX...pics before starting any restoration or alterations...only 50Kmi

This is my DD 1996 Civic EX...saying I practically "stole" it is an understatement with only 50K miles on her with my cost for buying her at only a cool 1K$ I'm planning to do some restoration and possible alterations to make her a sharper and head turning ride.

Tks Poopies..I need to find some of the pics I took in better lighting, but am truly happy with her especially with the low milage and the low price..interior is pretty pristine all but the headliner which will be one of the easiest and cheapest things to replace. It's the only automatic car I've ever owned, but of course Im considering putting a 5 spd in her...have been offered 3K as she sits, but even tho I'd triple my money I think she's a keeper.

IF I was offer 3x right after buying a car I would sell, sell, sell! It's a nice looking car with good mileage but if you dump a ton of money into it it's still only going to be worth whatever a 96 Civic is worth. I'd take that $3000 and buy one with a MT rather than try to change out the auto.

Re: My 1996 Civic EX...pics before starting any restoration or alterations...only 50K

As tempting as the cash is I've pretty much bought the car to have as my daily driver...after putting some thought into what would need to be done to change over I have decided to just prob buy one of the ground effect kits, keep her orig with the AT in her, paint her and ride. We own a garage and Towing/Repo company and I'm going to keep looking for another one to modify with a manual tranny in it and maybe a Vtech engine to start out with. We seem to wind up with a lot of Hondas...some newer and some older that we can sell or take parts off of before we crush them eventually, which helps me in any parts or labor costs "buiding" one lol...one of the perks of the business I'm going to start tryn to look thru some of the WTB forum threads to see if I can help anyone out. Hope ya have a great one!!

Sorry you hate towing/repo companies...we are truly a towing company/mechanical garage/used parts facility. Only repos we do are subcontracted to us occasionally thru out of town Repo Co..and not often. We also will work with customers of repo to help allow them time to catch things up instead of just grabbing anyones vehicle. So in a nutshell we are all for the customer and not for the $$ just cause we locate one. Best wishes and God bless :-)
