Re: short shifter bad?
Well faster is kind of the end result. But it really reduces the "throw" distance between your shifts making the distance between the gears shorter.
Re: short shifter bad?

I have the DC sports short shift adaptor and people say thats the one that messes with your synchros but i haven't seen it, although sometimes it is tough to put it into first and reverse but i think thats normal for 7th gens

Re: short shifter bad?
I've never heard anything about it messing up your transmission. What's probably happening, is people get the short shifter installed, so then they wanna slam through all the gears more frequently, so then that' s probably what's messing the trans' up.

haha ya some contact myth busters. i called my local performance shop and they said they've been installing short shifters for 10 yrs and there hasnt been any complaints or anything (they deal with skunk2)

Re: short shifter bad?
whenever someone gets a short shifter, they slam on the gear harder f & f style to try to shift quicker. then when their syncros go, they blame it on the shifter, not their poor driving style.
there's a difference between slamming gears, and shifting quickly.
