sorry for all the questions, but i'd like to do this too. where did you pick up the paint, can you get it at any autoparts store?

thanks!
It's slightly more involved then that. I used the same automotive single stage paint that I used for the entire outside of my car, so it's a little bit different then just spraying. As for getting the paint, you can only really get aerosol cans of auto paint at pep boys and such which is ok, but works best for small repairs. You can find all the paint and primer on the internet, various sites, www.tcpglobal.com is my favorite, also there's always a supply store near all of the body shops and stuff. Check in your city for paint supply stores, usually you can find all kinds of cool places you'd never see other wise. I'll give you a breakdown of exactly what I did, sounds like a lot, but it's not too bad:

-Remove door panels
-Remove handles/armrest
-Remove Cloth
-Sand with 100 grit sandpaper, then sand with 220 to get the glue off
-Mask entire door w/paper and masking tape
-Blow off dust and crap with air
-Wipe down surface with wax and grease remover
(I used an HVLP gun and an air compressor to paint.)
-Paint entire surface with primer (follow manufacturers specs.)
-Let dry ( I waited 24 hours)
-Wetsand primer with 400 grit & soft rubber block
-Blow off dust and crap with air
-Wipe down surface with wax and grease remover
-Paint one coat of single stage paint
-Wait 15 minutes and paint another coat
-Let dry install everything back together and BAM!

What?!? What you mean they fÜcked up your tire? They ripped it or something, if they did, you should demand they pay for it! That's cool that you got the other three, you should start a thread and post pics when all of them are on.

Re: My new custom door panels. *More Pix*

I was thinkin about doin this with mine. Will they look like **** if i just do them in like 3-5 coats of krylon fusion silver??? Wut if i layed down a thin coat of fiberglass would that be better. I dont know much about fiberglass wut would i have to do??? Could i just lay down a coat of auto body filler and sand it down then paint it with krylon fusion silver?

man all u have to do is rip the fabric off.. clean it real good u know take off the glue and what not.... do some sanding, primer, paint with krylon as many coats as you want and clear since your using krylon he did not have to use a clear coat cause of the paint he had but look through the thread he pretty much explained all steps

Fiberglass and body filler is not necessary, as long as your doors are in good condition, if you have a large hole, large/deep knick or something otherwise on the door, that would be the only time you use the filler or glass

Needing a clear coat depends on what kind of paint you purchase. If you're using a spray can, buying a glossy paint will not need a clear coat. If you buy a flat paint then yes you will need a clear coat. The nice thing about the clear coat, is you can sand and buff it for a perfect surface. (Which I'm doing right now to my entire car.)

If you use automotive paint, the situation changes. When you decide what you want to do, you can PM me with the info, and I'll tell you which to go with.

OK! Send them on over! Although truthfully I don't think that it would be a good investment, shipping to and from, plus paying me and buying paint....Hm you can do it! Have faith in yourself! YAY!
