Anyone rewire there oem fog lights?

So I was wondering if anyone has rewired there fog lights to be able to turn on without the headlights on. I wanna be able just to use the oem switch and turn them on whenever I want. If anyone knows this is possible and how to do it I'd appreciate it. Thanx

run it through your parking lights...... then you can turn them on via when just your parking lights are on, and not your headlights. Also if u want them on without any type of light from your car, then im guessing theres a way to run it directly to your bateryt im guessing

This seems too basic to be right...12v from battery to switch to fogs and ground?

If you want to be safe I would use a relay, that's what I did. That way there won't be a wire going straight into a switch and possibly allow you to leave the fogs on with the ignition off and drain the battery. I hooked mine up to ignition so they only come on with ignition but w/headlights off but controlled with a switch. Also I tapped 12V constant power at the fuse box under the driver dash. This keeps wires short and prevents anything from getting accidentally cut or kinked. Whatever you decide to do always remember to fuse any wires that you tap into power, 15Amp should be fine.
