Urgent, Need Help.

Alright, my car is broke down. It won't turn over. I'm getting power to everything. My accessories work, my headlights work, the whole shebang. It just wont turn over. Does anyone have ANY suggestions on what this could be? I drive an 01 Civic LX.

Does it crank and not turn over or does it not crank at all? When you turn the key to the ON position, do you hear the fuel pump hum for a second?

doesn't crank at all. as far as the fuel pump goes, I can't really recall. It's being towed to a honda specialist a town over.

anyone think it might, for some unknown reason be the remote start i had installed like 1 year and a half ago? That's what the tow guy was saying it might be, but I'm not sure about that.

Hm, I had this problem before too, no crank at all and there was power to everything. Turned out the connection to the battery's positive terminal was very weak, the clamp was corroded but there was enough conductivity to get power to all the accessories and such. Still when I turned the key the starter wouldn't crank. I took some steel wool to the connections and tightened down the clamp and the car turned over and started right away. Beyond that I'd say your starter might be toast.

got it fixed. apparently, a bolt got ripped out along with a ground wire. so there wasnt a complete circuit for the starter.

No idea. I park in places with lots of trees, limbs, etc. Plus it's been storming alot here. I'm thinking a limb may have caught it SOMEHOW, or something. I really have no idea.
