thanks ronaldo, man u need to put some new vids of ur car tuned : )

i think i might just do stage 1 cuz its cheaper and im not looking for much gain, so ya. and no idle...cuz im a everyday driver

(not that the idle was that bad in the video, it sounded tight lol, but i would get tired of it over time i would think. and even more so with a engine torque damper)

I was looking into building a n/a car. After plennnty of research, I realized, it wasn't worth it. Our d series engines are no good for bolt ons. We don't drive camaro's where i/h/e will give you 60hp.

If you're wondering what I did do instead since N/A was useless, well, I bought a turbo

which aftermarket crank? to date ive not seen a stroker kit for the d17. i looked and looked when i built my motor. no one is going to make a stroker kit unless you prototype one. ive got a few h22 and 1 h23 crank ill sell you. they might work. this is like the dude that said he destroked his d17 to a d16 and all the d16 bolt ons worked on his d17.

i talked to the guy at DH-Racing and he had a D17 crank he made that is for bigger rods and he is drills his own blocks out so i am having him do one for me in the summer and he is goign to stroke it and sleeve it. its not really a kit but it will do its job

As for anyone thats ******* him, instead of being negative about it, how about giving him some advice on products like he asked for. Good luck man.

What he said. Theres not even a point of putting your money and hard work towards another like 40 hp.

It's every individuals choice how they choose to spend their money, they earned it.

A n/a 40whp bump can be achieved for under $2500, but to achieve 160whp n/a reliably then $10k isn't unreasonable.

This grave digging thread bump is done.

Sorry if this comes off as rude, but.. what?

Are you asking if you can spend only ~$3500 on internals (high res pistons, shaved head, race valves, I'm assuming?) and run 13 second quarter mile times?

Or are you saying that's what you've done?

Re: Building a N/A D17A2

I find it hard to believe you're running 13s at a drag strip with never having been on a dyno, even for a tune. Unless you're talking about an 1/8 mile track, then I got nothing.
