i was at my buddies shop in the parts yard as i mentioned in another thread where i found a da9 teg, and i saw a prelude smashed to hell and back in the front. on the trunk it has a type-sh decal. wtf is this? some rare 'lude or some pep boys sticker some turd applied to a rather nice prelude. it has an h22a4, but so does the other plain jane 'lude he has in the back of his shop thats wrecked in the rear. its a late 90's model.

The USDM fifth-generation had a Type SH ("Super-Handling") trim which featured the Active Torque Transfer System (ATTS), and, along with the 5-speed base model, shared the exact same gearing from the Type S and SiR-S spec trims in Japan (in which the Type SH transmission is the exact same as the Type S.) This system allowed Honda to overcome the limitations of front wheel drive somewhat, and in 1997, Car and Driver named the Prelude Type SH the "best-handling car under $30,000."

Rep Power: 399 If you're gonna buy a BB6 and play with it, you don't want the SH. The ATTS can't take a whole lot of power, and by the time you undo it, you coulda just put a quaife in the base.
Definitely not rare, but nothing overly magnificent either.
