So my friend and i are doin this english project about government surveillance. We are makin a movie for our presentation, and we thought it would be kewl if we had a production clip like the Universal opening clip, or Touchstone, you know what im talkin about. So we decided to have a street race, then have the camera pan upwards and then we'll fade in the name. So there we are about to do our run. We're revvin up my 2001 Civic EX coupe 5-speed with 17"s AEM CAI lowered blah blah blah, against his 2000 Prelude. For those who dont know...my car..roughly 130hp, his car 200hp (5-speed). So we have a beautiful girl flag us i dump my clutch at 3000rpm with no spin and im off, my friend oes the same thing and just lights up his tires. Im blastin along ripping through second waiting for him to go blastin by my passenger side door, but then i see him in my mirror. He began to catch up, but it was too late, the race was over. By the end he was on my back bumper. Needless to say, he was pissed that my little ol' civic raped his Prelude, but hes slowly gettin over it. Just goes to show you, its all about the driver, and his/her knowledge of racing. the best part is, my class is gonna see me on video killin a prelude.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah sometimes I get suprised of my car or of another car when I race.
Yesterday I did a damn good race.
I was driving in my father's bmw and then I see far away in the back a camaro coming at like 200km/h+...
I push the gas, come up to like 200 in few seconds and then boom.. a 5.0L Mustang in my ***. I was very surprised how a 5.0L could get his fast and the Camaro SS, damn that was too fast for Bmw 530. A few seconds alter, I caught up the 2 racers. When the camaro and I were top speed and accelerating, the 5.0L had hard time to catch us but he was still able to in the race. At like 140km/h, the camaro once downshifted and you actually saw the car jack up and fly like a rocket.
Before I though a 5.0l was damn crap, old car and beaten. But now I'll know not to race it with my civic.
But still I can't beleive how the Camaro SS was fast.

Rep Power: 0 IT sure does!!!! that would such driving a prelude and getting beaten buy a civic!!! hahah ohh well my sis has a prelude and i take it out every one and a while and i love absolutly owning people on the roads! but then again i would never want to give up my little baby civic!!!!

Rep Power: 0 i'll try and get the video for you guys. Its on his camera though, and he might not want me to have it for personal reason (many hours of laughin my a$$ off). But i'll try and come up with some story so that i can get it in mpeg for you guys.

sounds like you got a way better reaction time, then stoped the race before he could pass you so you could call it a "win". What kind of race only lasts through 2nd gear? Exactly.
Hey, I beat a viper... for the first 60' of my last 1/4 mile run at the track. Does that mean i raped it too?

Rep Power: 0 For the video we only needed a bit of the race, so it wasnt a full 1/4. We raced through 3rd gear though, and he was still in my mirror. You would think even if i did have a good reaction time, and better tracktion that he would atleast be able to catch up to atleast my side door. I mean come on, 70 more hp then me. It wasnt a short little race, long enough to get the shot, and to get to a good mph. Im gettin the video probably today from the guy, you can be the judge.
