Or how about working on a down payment on a house so u can get something that will actually pay you back in the future, rather than waste your money on a car?

hahahaha 1,700 as a downpayment on a home. Mine as well go no down. thats less than .5% down. He would pay more a year in taxes and insurance. Plus the stock market out performs housing bubbles in the long term.

^^ I never said put $1700 as a downpayment. I said 'working on a down payment', it's a great start. Think of how many people cant afford a home till they're 40. If someone starts saving young they can have a nice home in their early to mid 20's and reap the benefits for many years, rather than wasting money on rims.

yea the real estate market is nuts in massachusetts especially boston haha.
im 19, i dont need to spend money on a house just yet, when i land a job this summer after my vacation i will start my "serious life" in which im not spending anymore money on **** like car mods, house electronic goodies, clothes....strictly investing and saving.
