Rep Power: 264 hahahaha 1,700 as a downpayment on a home. Mine as well go no down. thats less than .5% down. He would pay more a year in taxes and insurance. Plus the stock market out performs housing bubbles in the long term.

Rep Power: 0 ^^ I never said put $1700 as a downpayment. I said 'working on a down payment', it's a great start. Think of how many people cant afford a home till they're 40. If someone starts saving young they can have a nice home in their early to mid 20's and reap the benefits for many years, rather than wasting money on rims.

im 19, i dont need to spend money on a house just yet, when i land a job this summer after my vacation i will start my "serious life" in which im not spending anymore money on **** like car mods, house electronic goodies, clothes....strictly investing and saving.
