i dont think june is my month this year. i dont know why i listened to my dads advice on fixing my car. i should have known better.

anyway, i got the car back today. if i had to pick a word to describe the paintjob, id pick terrible. if i knew beforehand that this dude worked at fvcking maaco i would have NEVER given him the car. i would have spent the extra money to do the job right. but now i have to live with it i guess.

first off, lets start with the actual paint. they did a bad job with covering the lights and other rubber parts. so there is visible overspray in areas...not a lot, but you can tell the car was painted. the whole front has sporradic drip marks. or what looks like drip marks...as if the car got painted, then dried, then somone sprayed an empty and dirty paint gin over that after the paint dried. like that. horrible. thats all over the hood and front fenders. i can tell the rear bumper doesnt fit right. theres too much space in the joints with the rear fenders and tail lights. there was major overspray on one of the tails...enough where they had to sand it down a bit. but they didnt sand it fine enough, so you can see that its been sanded. horrible!

from a distance it looks ok...but if even a n00b looks at it from up close you can tell that its a shitty job. so now i dont know what im gonna do. i can drive around like it is now...i suppose.

but wait...theres more! the guy told me he knew how to drive stick. apparently my definition of "know" and his are totally different. he picked me up at my house and drove to his house so that i could then drive the car home, and it was just a terrible job of driving stick. the car was making sounds like ive never heard before. bad bad sounds. then when i went to drive home, it didnt feel right. i think he ****ed up my clutch...im praying he didnt **** up the whole tranny. because i dont know what i would do if he did. i mean, i know hes a family friend and all...but wtf? a clutch is one thing...those go. i was planning on getting a sport clutch at some time anyway, so this is a good excuse i suppose. but if he ****ed up the whole tranny....thats just not cool. i still have to drive it a bit more to see if maybe its just me or if the car is really messed up. i might have to take it in on friday and get it checked out. im dreading that day....even more now.

the "shop" fixed the dents, and kinda fixed the rear bumper...but the paint is fvcked up. see my last post.
