well if you are looking for in dash dvd player, they have been coming down in price like crazy. mine was over $1000, which was the absolute cheapest at the time, over a year ago.
Now they have a ton in the $600 - $1000 range that are worth buying. check out cardomain.com since they have good deals. If you want really high end stuff look into crutchfield.com's selection (alpine, kenwood, clarion, and eclipse are great but expensive)

Brand really didn't matter to me. The VM9510 has a great picture and I got mine for under 275 dollars without the TV Tuner. I just wanted a screen that would play DVD Videos.
If you compare the picture of mine to others its by far the best in picture quality. Others, as in something maybe 999 and under?
