VAFC2... does the ecu really reset it?

I read a rumor that the ecu overpowers the vafc2 some times, is this true?

not sure even tho i did a dyno after a year. My mods changed so I don't know. I don't see how the ecu can adjust seeing as how the vafcii modifies the final sensor readings.
