Rep Power: 294 True Zoom-Zoom with new suspension *56k beware*
WooHoooo, just installed new springs / shocks on my Miata, & now im really fealing the zoom-zoom!
I picked up a set of Flyin Miata springs, 342# front, 228# rear springrates, which is a little more than 2x stiffer than stock, about as stiff as you can get & still be somewhat comfortable on the street, & has a much higher rear to front ratio, which = turning.
They also drop the car about 1.5 inches, which is a lot for a Miata.
Paired these up with KYB AGX 8 way adjustable shocks, & man this car is increadible! The car feels so much more solid, set the shocks to 7f 6r & this thing corners like a freaking porsche, with the azenies of course...
Anyway, now on to the pics. Note, these are my race wheels, I drive these very little on the street. Im not in to white wheels, but they look flashy on track, so I left them white. Ive also temorarily fixed the rediculous exhaust.
front
rear
Here in Race trim...
Before pics can be found in my sig...

Rep Power: 294 ^The only difference in springs for the R package is a slightly higher rear spring rate, the front stayed the same. That gave it more neutral handling(or oversteer, depending on how good the driver). I dont know about the R package Bilsteins, but these shocks can go from .5x softer than stock to 4x stiffer than stock(I think).
So much stiffer than stock or R package.
Now I just need to learn how to drive it...

Rep Power: 294 ^yea, got the allignment last weekend.
Front:
Castor 5.0(max)
Camber -1.5
Toe out .30
Rear:
Camber -2.1
Toe in .30
Oh man, this thing turns like hell. The other day I was showing a friend of mine what she could do, I was swerving back & forth between the city tittys at 40mph, basically simulating a slalom, the tires werent even barking hardly at all, & full grip, he was up against the window exclaiming loudly, DAMN! I really want to mount a cheapo G-force meter to see what kind of Gs shes capable on a skidpad.
Now, alot of it is from the tires, & the allignment, but I had these tires on the Civic before I bought this car & even though there was a ton of grip, it was nowhere near what im pulling in this car, with this spring/shock combo.
Edit: oh yea, 15x7 wheels. The stock wheels are 14x6 I think.

Rep Power: 559 hey jiggerachi, hows that allignment treating you? hehe hows the tire wear??
i just got mine done, slightly less aggressive than the iceman setup, i got kind of an inbetween the iceman and the lanny settings.
but the dude tried to talk me out of it saying that its going to affect the tire wear significantly. i told him to do it anyway...but im just wondering how your tires are doing w/ your settings?
