Shaving rear emblems
Shaving rear emblems
I was thinking of taking off the civic and ex emblem. I found a DIY and it basically said just pull them off and use goo gone to take off the tape. Do you guys liked the shaved emblems and is it really as easy as it seems? thanks
yes it is easy, search (before anyone flames) there's all kinds of ways to do it, hair dryyer and floss, towel and a screw driver, etc. i'd say the hair dryer and floss would be the best, i dont like metal object against my clear coat

i think it looks great. not a single emblem anywhere on my ride except the steering wheel. everyone should know what car it is by now anyway.

yea take it off, but i would say fishing line not floss and hopefully the hair dryer works i should have done that first, just be careful with the paint, and its a pain to take off the tape underneath, but gearbox im liking that rear, ever think about using the rear handles for the front doors to remove the key hole?

I used a screwdriver covered with a tshirt so it wouldn't scratch. Once you get the outsides to come off then it's easy to pull the rest of it off. I did have to use a little goo gone.
Personally I like the look better. Instead of drawing attention to words on your car, people can look at your car as a whole, without being told that it is a Civic. I like when people can't figure it out, lol.
