Saving up for a new car, what should i get?
yea, if you're gonna spend around 30k on a car you might want to stay away from cars that have the econo box look and feel to them. sure EVOs are fast and all but the car is ugly..... looks cheap to me. for 30k i would only go spory luxury.

in this case you should try the new BMW 3's, you will like it, and you will definitely get noticed

IS250/350 is coming out this fall, which is about the time i get my new car. the 250 has about 204 horsepower and 350 has about 300 (thats what i heard). Navigation system, push start, and other good stuff.
i did not read all the posts. since you're going to college, you have it fully paid off, do you really need a car? if you going to a college in the city, a car is a waste of money now. if you really need a new car now, go for it mang. its your investment and not mine. Just think if you wait until after college, you can get pretty much anything you want.
dude u change ur mind on cars more than a fat kid changes his mind on what hes gonna get at mcdonalds.
my advice, all these cars that have been listed... go drive them, see what ones you like, and narrow it down to which ones have the better options for the money, then look at the total price and what the aftermarket offers for each one.
personally if i had the cash, id just get a g35. the new rsx is nice too. but hey dont take my opinion just go out there and see which one u like

is it confirmed that the US market is getting the IS250? I thought the 250 was the 4 cyclinder for the European market? I would suggest gettting the new IS or a g35. Don't get a 3 Series bimmer unless you like going to the dealer a lot.
My housemate has been to the dealer at least four times during the course of yr for stuff that isn't suppose to go bad till the 100k on cars. He has a 04 3 series and he's already had to replace, his starter, coils, window cel, and the same window cel again. But i have to give props to BMW on there warranty, they probably have the best customer service all my housemates experiences have been no hassle and everything was paid out of there pocket. They also have small design quirks like cup holders smaller then civic cup holders. I was like you pay 40k for a car and you don't get a decent cup holder. I don't know about the new 06 3 series though.

get an esuvee, when ur in one of them u feel like ur ontop of everything and invincible.....
but really...dont spend all ur money saved up on a car or a downpayment because if ur looking for a 20-40000 car ur payment will be ranging from like 200-600 a month if u get a nice apr and then u gotta pay for insurance which will be like another 2-3 im guessing conservatively because ur gonna be like 18-19. so i hope u either got a nice paying job or a bunch of money and dont forget to go to college, that right there is like 20g to 200g depending on where u go. gl with ur choice tho, if i was u, id save ur money, invest it or something and keep ur civic and wait till ur done college or get a REAL job where ur making money instead of working at mcdonalds or some hs job u kno. then when u invest all ur money by the time ur done college u'll have plenty more money and then u can buy some nice car or better yet... put a down payment on a house that appreciates in value, instead of depreciating in value. no persons really cars if u got a nice car in college, most college students are poor and drive beaters and im sure they wont mind hitting ur nice new evo with there dented door and then ur screwed cuz u spent all ur money and ur stuck with a payment for 5-6 yrs.

I think we should stop lecturing this guy...He is entitled to do things that makes him happy, no matter if it is temporary and not worth it in our point of view.
Just get the new BMW 3 serie, coupe if you can. You will be driving a better car than that of your professors.

Buy a Corvette and call it a day, its faster than anything you mentioned and about the same price and has more options than the others as well as being way more of a Pimp car. Every knows the Corvette it the "Gentlemens sports car" Serious dude, look at the papers and check the prices of Vettes, they are such a good buy for what you get, plus, mostly adults drive them, you are more likely to get a car that has not been beat on compared to the others you mentioned.

i dunt get people that buy bmw's. pay more for a car that breaks down alot more. my mom has a mercedes. she bought it for $49k in 2003 and its worth barely $30k right now. and dont forget how many times its been to the dealer for those air tight door **** and the SOS **** not working. blah. Honda/Acura doesn't decrease in value that quickly. thats why i love honda.
