How Much of A Drop?

Im looking to lowering my 04 civic ex..with Oem aero kit..and 18 inch rims..i want my car to look aggresively lowered..but not too low.. and i dont want to be scraping and having a rough ride.. so what spring do u recommend and how much of a drop does it provide? let me know..thanks!!

Ps. Also..if you could give me info on where to get them the cheapest..thanks!

H&R sports. Drop is 1.3 inches. I think its aggressive enough without being too low. You still have to get a camber kit and still have to be careful of speedbumps.

i would get full coilovers because chances are you'll want to adjust them to how you like it. With springs you're stuck with how it looks.

ya i got sportlines on my 04 and its a sick drop, but i have 16 inch rims and no body kit so might be a bit low for you. look into eibach pro kit, bit less of a drop and still great springs.

full coilcover if u have enough MONEY

I have Tokico blues w/ H&R's on 205/405/17 I really like the drop, altho H&R states it is only 1.3'' drop (which doesn't look much) , but it looks very low once they're installed. I have 1 finger gap in the rear, 2 finger in the front.

i threw on a octane (r34) complete body kit and I had to raise my car back up. I was something like half an inch off the ground with Progress springs on. The OEM aero kit is pretty low to the ground with Progress as well. Even though they say it's not that low in the specs, you can check out some of the pics in my ride and see how low it makes it with the OEM Aero.

FYI, if you go too low, changing a flat tire is a sunuvabitch. And if you try to take it some some places to change your oil, they won't do it if you're so low. Yeah, I usually do it myself anyway, but sometimes I just wanted to get it done on the run.....

i very seriously doubt they settled that low. I have the sportlines as well with 17's and they only settled to about 1.6-7 all around.

I recommend the Eibach Pro-kit or Tein SS

I have goldlines and after settling (which they claim the springs are guaranteed NOT to do) I have approximately a 2" drop all around (1/2 finger in front, barely a 1 finger in back). Previously I had H&R's with a 1.3" drop which I loved but regret buying because that drop didnt seem low enough for my taste.

i think any spring will settle if youre still using oem struts and shocks. as they wear, and lose oil due to excess stress- they will continue to make ur car lower and lower until they are no use anymore.

am i wrong about this?

I had my Goldlines installed along with a set of KYB AGX's at the same time and the springs still seemed to settle after about 2 weeks or so....
