So water s me and conspires to ruin my car.
1. My awesome looking EL Tape Sidemarkers bit the dust because they can't handle getting wet.
2. Air horns stopped working.
3. I didn't make a very clean u-turn and I smacked a frozen snowbank resulting in my intake filter getting crushed.
Soo, I'm finally done 'fixing' all this stuff and here are some fresh photos.
1. Sidemarkers
I didn't want to flush another $40 on the supplies for another set of aquaphobic EL tape sidemarkers, so I went with the cheapest thing out there that would give me the effect I wanted. Now everyone knows what brand represents the pure essence of CHEAP, APC!
I got these $10/pair things at Autozone called "Illuminators". It's basically a plastic lens w/ an LED inside. I mounted it up using the supplied double sided foam tape and wow, these are kind of nice... Alas, these don't like water either, but I think they'll be more durable than the EL tape.

2. Quad air horns
Long story short, the compressor stopped working. I bought another dual air horn setup just for the compressor, but then I got to thinking.... 4 is better than 3! I would have gone with all 5, but there is only so much space and I had to use the 5th horn bracket to mount the compressor in a less exposed location. One word describes this: LOUD!
3. CAI to SRI conversion
Crushed filter? Fears of the lower tube getting a hole rubbed into it? Solution: Eliminate the lower tube. It looks a little wierd since I'm used to seeing a lot more piping, but it works great! I felt a little bit more low end power with this change.

Thanks for looking.
