My Magnaflow sounds like poop!
So tonight I let my girl drive my car down the road so I could see what my exhaust sounded like and it sounded, well.... not real good.
So I have a couple of options...
1) Keep it and have the resonator welded back on so I can still have a free flowing muffler.
2) Have my stock welded back on and sell the biatch.
3) Keep it and deal with it.
Would it still be free'er flowing even if I had the resonator welded back on?
Help me out.

i love my magnaflow doesn't have the buzz sound or anything it's a nice deep tone i get a lot of comments on it. but i had to get the whole cat-back instead of just the muffler. i say sell the muffler for the whole cat-back a paid 275 on ebay for mine shipped but the price has gone up closer to retail now

I have had a mg cat back for 3 years and it still sounds great and looks good. everyone tells me how much they like the sound.
resonator makes the sound quieter and deeper ..
my friend has the greddy evo w/o a resonator on his 99 ex and it sounds really gay ... super bumblebee sound inside AND outsidet the car. I have the greddy evo2 full catback and it sounds really deep inside and out, sounds very nice

I mean either a 2 1/4" to match your pipe diamater OR a 2 1/2" & have the shop flange the pipe. I think that the 2 1/2 would work well, that way the resonator does not slow exhaust gas flow at all BUT the 2 1/4 would be less work.

Yes. I think that would help you get the sound that you are looking for without creating a bottle neck in your exhaust. Also $50-60 for resonator and install is much cheaper than pop'ing for a new exhaust.
