my DIY red '04 gauges
yeah i got kinda tired of the white numbering and really wanted some cool mellow red numbering...
so, what y'all think???
it was done by takin apart the gauge cluster (needles off), taking off the light diffusers that lay between the gauge face and lights of the gauges and replacing them with red filter paper (vellium art paper). the paper originally with the somewhat bright white LED's made it look reallly orange, so i spraypainted (yep, spraypaint) the piece of filter paper red with about 3 coats. then i cut out pieces of the red filter paper using the light diffusers behind the three gauges as templates, stuck em behind the gauge faces.
special thanks to gearbox who helped start me on this little project
