broken into so i come back from a very depressing easter weekend with my family who is currently going though some hard times, to a broken car window. and EVERTHIGN taken out. smashed rear speaker, took all my acessories, took my change, took my cds, ripped my **** off of the boot, took a sway bar that i was about to ship out, took my books, bookbag. 
i still cant believe this ahppend to me. seriously...whats thje point of modding if poeple jsut steal yoru crap. nooooooo point. someone persuade me NOT to just quit modding altogether and quit caring about my car. cuz about now...it just doesnt seem worth it.
oh and i did have an alarm, but a dumb alarm does nothign when no one is around to hear it.

Rep Power: 0 damn... i feel ya... i got broken into recently too... my alarm went off so good thing i was around and ran out before they took anything... but they fleed before i could even see what car they were drivin...

don't mod a car unless it is
(1) garage kept
(2) has a good alarm system w/ proxy & pager & lojack
(3) and don't invest into too much ice, keep interior stock
(4) be nice to ppl & don't make enemies (not saying nice ppl's car
don't get jacked...but it does reduces the risk)

Rep Power: 812 And next time don't keep items of value in plain sight for thieves to see. Car should look completely empty. And don't give up modding. You probably know what I think of thieves by now. Hope it gets better for you.

Rep Power: 0 you guys all have great ideas. i live in jersey which is notorius for thefts. ppl get the cars broken into for nextels which are very popular here, u just have to switch the sim cards so the black market is huge. i agree w/ leaving interior stock..but also have no clutter. thieves make you not want to modify a car, but modify it so you can get their girl
