Rep Power: 0 Broken Left Engine Mount Bracket
Well, my brother had his car towed over the other day.
As it turns out, the problem with the car is a broken motor mount bracket. The other issue is that one of the bolts had been stripped out. I was wondering if the part that the bracket attaches to the engine can be removed as well. It looks like the piece also supports the alternator.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

You might be able to rethread it (or maybe install a heli-coil?) without removing it, or if the hole goes all the way through you may be able to use a longer bolt and nut.
The top bracket probably broke because it was missing that one fastener.
