What I realized
What I realized
So I've been checking out this forum for a couple months. I gotta say, it's pretty nice. Originally I wanted to know what mods were the best for HP gains. But after reading everything I realized that keeping my car stock is the best thing to do if I want to keep a good daily driver. I/E/H, pulleys, turbo, all that stuff is good if I want to race or what not, but all of that stuff makes for a crappy daily driver. Too much unnecessary maintenance.
So, I've decided to just invest in a nice sound system and get carwashes and wax jobs.

To each his own. For most of us here, it is the thrill and the feeling we get when we add a part to our cars. Of course reprocussions always will come up but that come with the territory. Working with such expensive things as cars is not for the faint of heart. We don't do it hoping for a car that functions like a stock car. That is what we want to get away from. And intake and such will not hurt your car at all no maintenence is required. I do not even consier intake and exhaust an engine mod, just making the best out of your stock motor lol. Everyone and their mother has an intake. As far as a turbo goes, your motor will react proportionally to how you treat it. If you go easy on it 95 percent of the time than you should not have many problems if any. Not that much maintenence is required for boltons.

I kinda had the same thought process. I wanted to throw this and that on my car too, but in the end I bought my car to take the hour drive to & from work everyday. I bought it for the comfortable ride & the gas mileage and now my focus has shifted to enchancing that. A great sound system and great looking clean car are definetly 2 ways to do just that.
I couldn't touch the engine even if I wanted to my dad won't let me until the warrenty dies.. in 3 years! ach... anyways until then he said I can do cosmetic things, which i guess is ok.. better then nothing

everything you do to your car willll make it that much comforting to drive. im currently upgrading my suspentiong and im almost finished, all i need are the dampers and a rear upper tie bar. i have every other bar made for my vic and i love the handeling. i would rather drive my slow car that can take turns like a **** instead of a big car that only can go fast in a straight line.
next is the swap... gatta save up for that sucker.
