I was planning to trade in or sell my car for:
2000 S2K...

I wanted the S2000 so bad... but, my 2k1 civic is my first car, I got lots of sentimental value to it, and which I spent all my money from past 3 deployments and 7yrs I was in the army...

No matter what, you will ALWAYS miss your first car. I sold mine back in 1998 and I still miss it. Was a 1987 Toyota Celica GT. "Time to move onto bigger (or smaller) and better things."
If you can afford it, get the S2000. I traded my Celica for a Miata and absolutely loved it. Convertible, rear wheel drive, driving-on-rails out of this world handling. Add to that an extra 100hp and you have the S2000. do it!

i diagree tha tyou will miss your first car. i had an '89 Accord LXi and i freakin' hated that thing with a passion. it had the pop up lights and a leaky sun roof...it was a pain in the ***. now my civic on the other hand is awesome, i would definitely miss it. oh and on the topic, get the s2k.

I also agree w/who ever said to keep the Vic and then later on when you can, get a second ride that you'll love. I mean if you have the Vic, you can use that as a daily driver, and then let's say you end up gettin the S2K or what not, then you can make that be your toy, your show ride, your weekend driver...you know. Just my $.02

i raced a s2k with my dads tl type s from a 10 mph roll... he jumped about a hood on me. then he didn't go anywhere... i don't think they are all that. but they are nice cars.
get the s2k
but if i were you, i'd just get a swap. you will be able to smoke a s2k with a k20a2 with only a intake and exhaust.

hey, if u can spend 30k to get the s2k, why not just spend that and have someone stick the f20c (s2k engine) and stick it in ur car and make a rwd civic? no one would expect that, and then stick a turbo on that. very few cars could touch that setup.
That's a really cool idea in theory, but for $30K you get the same engine in a droptop (that's already RWD), impressive handling, good looks plus a factory warranty and best reliability in the industry.
For those of us that have done custom work, whether it's cosmetic or performance, know that 90% of the time, there's NOTHING more reliable than OEM (and being his only car needs to be dependable). Seems like alot of trouble, especially the RWD part (7th gen Civics don't even have a driveshaft type tunnel) and just to have a "sleeper" Civic that some kids can ooo and ahhhh over?
Perhaps not for all of us
People have done some wacky conversions, but unless you are talking an older car that is much easier to hack up and modify, it seems like big bucks to drastically alter a new car and NEVER get your investment back to boot.

And I was thinkin a year 2000 S2K... it runs about 20gs here in vegas with really low mileage, and I should at least get 10gs with my car... my quote online runs about 11+...
I should get more opinion bout this, then I'll decide if i'll sell my cvic, or spend the 4gs I got saved up on the D17A2 engine!...

they have AWD civics in japan, well, they are all sedans... if we could do that,
i suggest getting a crv tranny and the whole suspention. do some cutting and welding. move the fuel tank into the trunk with a fuel cell.
wha-La!!! you have a AWD monster. just add turbo on that k24
